The station is not far from junction 4 on the M25. Exit at the junction, and head towards Bromley on the A21. Go straight over the large roundabout you come to. Just before the dual carriageway narrows into single file, you will need to take the left hand turn. Follow this road, and the station is on the left.
There is ample parking in the station car park.
There is a bus, about every two hours into Orpington, excluding Sundays.
No amenities at the station itself, but there are a few good pubs in nearby Badgers Mount. The large Polhill garden centre also has a good cafe.
Shots can be taken in both directions, and from both platforms. Shots can also be taken from the footbridge.
For video: There is a builder's yard alongside the Up (London bound) platform. Skip lorries and JCBs are working constantly including Saturdays, but I don't know about Sundays. Loud steam locos and poss other trains should drown out the sound as they pass but quieter trains may not.
