From Dorchester head for Weymouth on the A354. You will pass the Welcome to Weymouth and Portland# pillars on the top of the Ridgeway. Carry on for approximately 2 miles until you get to the first junction with a set of traffic lights. Turn left here to Littlemoor and about 600 yards on you will see a railway bridge. Turn right just before the bridge, signed posted 'Upwey Station'.
The station has ample free parking.
There is no bus stop at the station, but you can catch buses in Littlemoor Road.
This is an un-manned station with no amenities. There are plenty of supermarkets in Weymouth with a good selection of restaurants and Fish and Chip shops.
There are plenty of Hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in Weymouth.
Lighting is usually pretty good. Best place to stand is at platform 1 to see the trains working out of Weymouth. The footbridge can be a good place as well to see trains heading north, stand on the platform 1 side of the bridge for trains heading north.
