Come off the M74 at junction 6 and follow the signs into Motherwell. Then turn left into The Loaning (second left after the traffic lights at Strathclyde Road) and at the end right down Logans Road. This will lead you to, and indeed over!, the location. The B&Q car park, with a view of some of Motherwell Depot, is across the road.
May be possible in nearby residential streets. There's also a B&Q car park close by.
Within walking distance from Motherwell Station.
There's rather a lot of OHLE equipment, but as it's a level crossing, it is fairly high. The best vantage point is on the Up side of the level crossing on the bridge, as you are on the outside of the curve here. A zoom lens is an advantage as it allows you to zoom between the masts.
