From the A3(M), Junction 2:
Take the B2149 towards Rowlands Castle. When you get to the roundabout turn left towards Rowlands Castle, then shortly left towards Finchdean. When you reach Finchdean village continue straight through, passing under the railway line which you follow. Where the road takes a sharp left bend and goes over the railway take the lane that goes straight ahead, follow this up to the farm.

You can park on the verge just outside the farm, or drive through the gates and up the overgrown track towards the bridge.

Wessex Rail Gen [WRGen]

The line here is aligned North-South with some substantial trees to the West of the line, making this a morning only shot on sunny days, (with northbound trains being out-of-sun) but a good all-round location if its cloudy.
You can shoot from the steps or their landings (either side on a cloudy day) or from the bridge itself using both wide angle and zoom lenses. Some excellent video could be obtained here.
