Road directions
From the M62, junction 34:
Head north to Selby on the A19 and in just under 1 mile, turn right at the first roundabout on to the A645 towards Hensall. After going over the railway line turn left at the traffic lights, towards Hensall station. Follow this road and turn right at the sign towards Gowdall/Snaith. Once out of the village take the right right down the lane which will lead you under the ECML and then onto the location.
Parking
There are opportunities to park at the roadside or by the crossing itself.
Public transport
There is no bus service, Hensall Station is about 1.5 miles West of the location.
Amenities
There are no facilities, Snaith being the nearest village of any size about 2 miles East.

The ECML runs North South on an embankment.
The Knottingley – Goole line runs West East.
By moving either side of the crossing there is a wide variety of available shots at most times of the day.
A 200mm plus telephoto lens will reach traffic coming off the Drax branch. Very few trees except to the North East of the Knottingley – Goole line.
