From Pickering station follow the road parallel to the track up. The first location is a small fishery about another 400yards on. Then the crossing is further on. The third location is down a farmers track which is a right turn just after the level crossing.

Roadside parking is available

Being a national park there are lots of tourist facilities in the towns and villages but some locations are remote areas of moor land.

North East Gen

Location 1 is a close up shot from a public foot path that crossed the line
Location 2 is around the actual level crossing at Newbridge. Trains slow to exchange a token here, so they will be going dead slow.
Location 3 is a wide view across fields
