Levisham village is signposted from the A169. After going down and back up a very steep road you will enter the village. Take the second left turn and follow this road to the halt.
There are toilet and basic snack facilities on the station.
Since the halt is at the bottom of a valley some fairly spectacular views are afforded from the road approaching the halt. Once you have reached the halt itself the level crossing provided a superb view point of northbound trains along the mile or so straight section of track preceding the station. To the north is woodland which provides a backdrop to southbound trains.
