Road directions
From M5, Junction 12: Take the B4008 towards Stonehouse. After passing over the railway look for a wide gravel track on the right, about 300yds after passing a plant nursery. If you get into Stonehouse itself you have gone too far! Drive up the track to the bridge, use caution when driving along the gravel track as it has deteriorated and is now badly rutted.
Parking
You can park right by the bridge, but leave room for tractors.
Public transport
Take the train to Stonehouse, you may need to change at Gloucester or Cheltenham, then take a Gloucester-bound bus. These are fairly frequent, at least during weekdays. There is a bus stop virtually at the end of the track. Or around half an hour's walk from the station.
Amenities
Nothing in the immediate area, but Stonehouse is close by and has a supermarket, shops, pubs and cashpoints.
Accommodation
Probably some small B&Bs in Stonehouse, or if you head from Junction 12 of the M5 into Gloucester there is a Holiday Inn Express.
Line is in quite a deep cutting, but good clear views in both directions. The 'Classic' shot is looking South-East for trains coming off the Swindon line.
