From the M4, Junction 28:
Exit onto A48, signed Newport and Docks, and at the Ebbw Bridge Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the B4239, which goes into the woods. Continuing along to the next roundabout, take the 1st exit onto B4239/Lighthouse Road. Follow this road for 1/2 a mile and once out of the residential area, and after a right hand bend, turn left onto Heol Pont-y-cwcw.

There is space for one vehicle just over the bridge, or space for one or two vehicles shortly after you turn in from Lighthouse Road.

There is an Asda store nearby. Turn left at the end of Heol Pont-y-cwcw and then next right onto Morgan Way. Continue to the end of Morgan way and across the road is a footpath entrance to the Asda car park.

Newport would have options.

Rail Gen South Wales

It is a blissfully quiet spot, with only occasional farm traffic using the bridge. There were no issues with the sun, and photographing and videoing was refreshingly easy in both directions!
