From the M1, Junction 14:
Follow 'H5' A509 west toward Conniburrow, at Bradwell Common take 'V6' Grafton Street to Rooksley Roundabout, 1st exit into Dansteed Way and then a right into Loughton Road, shortly after a left turn into Harcourt brings you opposite the location.

Plenty of parking in residential streets with no restrictions.

The best view is southbound, there are some OHLE masts to contend with but these are manageable. Northbound is not as great a shot, but it's not too disappointing. The line runs north/south so as expected the light is best on the East side before midday and the west side after.
There's a lot of palasade fencing around this area and the best way to overcome this would be to use a gorilla pod.
There is not much background noise.
