Road directions
From the M1, Junction 15:
Take the A508 to Roade. From here, take the local road to Hartwell. Once you reach Hartwell, bear right, and follow the main road to Hanslope. At the centre of Hanslope, you will come across a mini roundabout at which you turn right down Castlethorpe Road. Follow this road until you reach the village itself, and once you do, keep to the right along North Street. After a few hundred yards, you need to take a right into South Street. Towards the end of this road is a new housing development on your right called 'Maltings Field' and you need to turn into here. You should notice some signs for the public footpath. Both directions will lead you to the spot, but the best direction to follow is to your left (west). This will take you to the track which leads to the railway.
Parking
Park considerately in 'Maltings Field'
Amenities
You could always try the 'Carrington Arms' in South Street.

Photographic notes
A good shot of northbound workings can be had from the bench by the bridge. However, if the bench is occupied by a tramp, or a resting cyclist, it would be best to use some steps!
Shots (in both directions) can also be had from further down the cycle lane, although the dreaded palisade fencing means that steps are (highly) recommended. Also, with the current trend of out of control line side growth, the taller the steps the better!
