Road directions
Be careful driving some of the local roads as children can sometimes be playing near the road. Can sometimes be busy with the parked cars outside houses but you should still be ok to park.
Parking
You can park for free at the foot crossing therefore you can keep an eye on your car at all times. Be aware it can be busy if cars are parked outside houses close to the crossing.
Public transport
From Doncaster station the 58/58A takes you the closest to the crossing. Take this bus to the final stop on Stoops Lane. Once you have got off the bus, there should be a triangle in the road with one road being Bessacarr Lane. Just walk down this road until you see the crossing.
Alternatively catch the 55/21/25/29/98/99 to the stop after Toby Carvery, walk back to the crossroads. and walk down the steep hill and take the first left. Then just follow the road until you reach the crossing.
Amenities
There are some shops about 0.5 miles away in Bessacarr. Includes Co-op, a chippy and a Pub if you require food/drink.
Photographic notes
The light is best for trains in the afternoon from both directions. However the light favours trains coming from Lincoln. You can photo trains travelling in both directions quite easily and take videos with areas that you could place your tripod. The light in the morning isn't the best but you could still work with it.
