Take the Fort William road (A82) at Longman Roundabout and follow it until you come to Safeways then follow the road into Safeways and park your car here. From there walk back along past the car park and there is a set of steps right in front of you.
This can be found near to the location in either Safeways Rose Street, Rose Street Deck Car Park and many other parks around the city centre.
There is various chippys nearby. There is one in the bus station which is behind the deck car park. There are also various Food Outlets along the High Street.
Info on Hotels & Bed and Breakfasts can be found at
Visit Scotland.comGiven the lines east to west direction the main shot will be backlit for most of the morning. Accordingly the east bound shot, of workings into Inverness should be well lit.
As Inverness station itself is on the opposite corner of the triangle this line is used by services either:
Avoiding the station altogether,
Having reversed out of the main platforms and heading north to the Kyle or Wick Lines.
Update Sept 2013:
The trees on the station side of the bridge have grown up restricting the views, fig 1 and 2, available.
