Conwy is well signposted from the A55. After crossing the bridge over the estuary, turn left at the mini-roundabout under the castle walls. The road bends to the right and there is a footpath signposted into the field on the left.
There is a large pay and display car park on the right just after the footpath.
Conwy station is 5 minutes walk away, Llandudno Junction station is about 20 minutes walk away. There are also regular buses from Llandudno town.
There are toilets in the car park and plenty of shops in the town. There are fast food outlets in a retail park adjacent to Llandudno Junction station.
There are numerous hotels and guest houses in the Llandudno area.
The light is best for trains heading towards Bangor and Holyhead in the early afternoon as they emerge from the bridge and pass the castle. Ideally trains should be no longer than 5 coaches if you want to get the whole train in shot between leaving the tunnel and passing under the castle walls.
