At the end of the M180 (junction 5 for Barnetby) continue straight on onto the A180 to the next junction. Turn onto the A160 then first left onto the A1077 eastwards. This road crosses the railway at Ulceby station.
You can park your car opposite the station by the signal box.
The station is served by a roughly two hourly service from Grimsby.
There is a pub opposite the station.
There is only one platform at Ulceby as it is located between the single line spur from Grimsby and the line to Barton-on-Humber so trains call at the platform in both directions. Only freight usually uses the far running line without a platform. As the freight trains are actually heading north to Immingham and South towards Barnetby at this point, in a morning you would have to take pictures from the platform of trains from Immingham approaching on the adjacent line. In the afternoon, the sun is in the wrong position for pictures from the platform though shots leaning over the crossing are possible again of trains from Immingham. The crossing is notable in still retaining old-fashioned gates on what is a busy road and railway.
