From the M58, Junction 3:
Follow the A570 west towards Ormskirk. Station is on the north side of the one-way system.

There are several car parks in the town centre.

There is a 15 minute rail service from Liverpool City Center. Bus services every 30 minutes from Southport and Wigan and more frequently from Liverpool and Skelmersdale. Less frequent from St. Helens.

Photos best in an afternoon from the road bridge outside the station. Due to the deep cutting south of the station shots of trains entering from Liverpool are usually in the shade.
