From Liverpool, use the Wallesey Tunnel to access junction 2 of the M53 which then leads to junction 2A. Take the A551 north to Moreton roundabout and turn left onto the A553 towards West Kirby. On entering the town the station is on the right.
There are car parks in the town though little on-street parking near the station.
There are regular bus services from Birkenhead, Liverpool and Heswall which terminate outside the station.
There is a range of shops and restaurants in the town and also a Wetherspoons pub just to the left opposite the station.
Due to island platform pictures in the station are generally poor, unless a 3 car set happens to be stabled on one of outer roads. There is a road bridge outside the station which gives good views of trains entering and leaving the station though the afternoon sun favours trains arriving from Liverpool. There is also a footbridge further east again.
