There is parking spaces at Kilby Bridge next to the steps leading to the canal. The crossing is approximately 0.5miles east of Kilby Bridge.
There is no amenities at the crossing, however there is a pub at Kilby Bridge and other services eg. Shops
The line runs east to west at this point so the shot is on for east bound trains in the morning moving round to west bound trains in the afternoon. 'Whistle' boards either side of the location will give audible warning of approaching workings.
Shots from the south side of the crossing are reasonably wide for the main line, but would be tight for anything on the bi directional loop line. The north side of the crossing embankment offers some height for picturing workings. There is also a foot crossing and angles from the fields to provide some variation.
There is distant noise from the A5199 but nothing to intrusive.
