Road directions
It is far more advisable to alight at this station having used one of the other stations.
Parking
Not recommended - parking is expensive and limited, and designated parking zones are often either full or not available. Multi-storey parking prices can be astronomical, so you are not advised to bring the car to James Street.
Public transport
Almost all bus services operating around the city centre stop on James Street or very close by. By train, from the mainline Lime Street platforms, head to the Merseyrail Wirral Line and board any train at the platform two stops to James Street.
Amenities
Toilets are not provided at the station itself, but facilities are available at nearby cafés. There are restaurants, cafés and chip shops nearby.
Merseyrail DOES NOT permit the use of flash in tunnel stations, so do not do it. This disturbs the drivers and can cause distraction to other members of staff. If you can hold your camera steady, you will be fine; if not, try resting your camera on an advertising panel or just bring along a tripod.
