Road directions
From the M1, Junction 5:
Follow signs through Watford for 'Harrow'. These will lead you down about 5 miles (most of it on the A4008) to a roundabout with 'Bannister Sports Stadium' on the left. Take the third exit at this roundabout and head along the short dual carriageway section to the next roundabout where you should turn left. Follow this road down and you will cross over the railway and see the station immediately on your left after the bridge.
Parking
There are a number of residential streets nearby where parking should be available. Parking on the same road as the station is not possible as there are yellow lines.
Public transport
Headstone Lane is on the Silverlink Metro DC lines between London Euston and Watford Junction. Three trains an hour serve the station in each direction.
The 350 bus from Harrow also passes here. The H12 and H14 busses from Harrow, Stanmore and Pinner pass 'Long Elms' - a road just to the east of the station.
Amenities
Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities, however a number of shops are nearby. Turn either left or right out of the station and follow the road down off the road bridge to find parades of shops. There are takeaway shops in 'Long Elms' and a petrol station can be found to the west of the station.

Photographic notes
To start with, you would need to be on the southbound platform (left hand side as you walk into the station).
From the station platform, the sun is best from mid morning on till late afternoon for southbound workings.
There is very little, if any kind of shot onto the Down Main line (northbound fast - closest to the platform).
For videos, there is a decent northbound view. The track to the south of the station is straight all the way down to near Kenton so trains can be seen well in advance.
BEWARE: Trains heading north on the fast lines do cause severe turbulence against the platform fence - causing it to sway quite violently.
