Road directions
Come off the main A38 at The Sugarbrook pub and turn into Stoke road, then turn first right into Sherwood road. Drive to the end of this road through a new housing estate and you can park right next to the bridge. Don't block the gate as Network Rail need access to the line side.
Parking
You now have to park your car at the show home and walk across a makeshift path that leads to the bridge.
Public transport
The bridge is about a 10 minute walk from Bromsgrove station. Come out of the station onto New Road and head along until you reach a roundabout with Stoke Road. Here turn left and walk down until you can turn left into South Road. South Road stops and you can cross into Garrington Road. Off Garrington Road is a footpath which runs parallel to the railway and will lead you to the bridge.
Amenities
None at the location. Nearest shops are by Bromsgrove Station, which is about 15 - 20 minutes walk away.
Still Photography Notes: This location offers excellent views in both directions. Some freight slows down entering the loops (both directions) and some coal trains are banked in the daytime to assist up the Lickey incline.
Video Photography Notes: The location is well way from main roads, so road noise is not a problem.
Also,walk or cycle along the footpath that runs along side the railway line between Bankers Bridge and Buntsford Hill - although a lot of hedge [and thistles !! ] in Summer. You 'may' find some different angles to take some shots. This path will take you within a few feet of the banker when it is stabled in the spur. There is now a new footway that goes north from 'Bankers', alongside the new housing to South Road, Aston Fields, it follows the track close to the north slow line. At the railway end of South Road, [please note it is impossible to park a car in this road], you can view locos in the loop awaiting a banker. At the other end of the road you have a number of shops.
