From the east, take the A6187 and turn north onto the A6013. The station is about 200 yards after this junction.
From the south, use the B6049 via Tideswell, then turn right onto the A6187, then as above.
From the Manchester area, use the A57 via Glossop to Ladybower Reservoir, then the A6013 to Bamford.
The station is about ½ mile beyond Bamford village.
There is a small car park at the station intended for rail passengers. On street parking should be possible in a minor road a short distance south of the station.
By rail to the station by local services from Manchester Piccadilly or Sheffield.
None at the station. The nearest facilities are in Bamford village.
From the westbound platform, the sun is best placed for eastbound trains until early afternoon. From the eastbound platform, it can be preferable to have a brightish, but cloudy day. Photos are also possible from the over bridge at the west end of the station, but note that there is no footpath on the western side of this bridge.
