Road directions
Junction 12 on the M27/A27 is one of these strange ones, so:
From the east on the A27 take the exit at junction 12, take the last exit at the roundabout heading for Cosham, follow the signs for the station, just as you approach the level crossing turn right into Windsor Road and follow it to the end.

From the west leave the M27 at junction 12, when you get to the roundabout turn right onto the A27 and follow this to the next roundabout, take the next exit towards Cosham, follow signs to the station, just as you approach the level crossing turn right into Windsor Road and follow it to the end.
Parking
You can park at the foot of the bridge, but make sure you do not block anyones drive!
Public transport
Cosham has a regular train service, with trains to/from Portsmouth, Southampton, Eastleigh, Basingstoke, Waterloo, Havant, Chichester, and stations to Cardiff Central and London Victoria.
There are also regular buses to/from Portsmouth and surrounding area, see Stagecoach and First Group websites for details. But rather confusingly the majority of the 'northbound' buses do not stop opposite the station (the 'southbound' ones do) and you will need to get off at Cosham Health Centre and walk towards the station (clearly signposted).
Amenities
If you go back to the station and cross to the north of the line you will find Cosham high street with various shops and eateries.
Accommodation
Accommodation is available in Portsmouth, including the Marriot hotel on the Southampton Road, near Cosham.

Photographic notes
The line here is east-west, and you can shoot from both sides/both ways as the sun moves round, the shot of westbound trains from the south side is a bit nose on. To the west you will have Cosham station itself in your pictures, both wide angle and zoom lenses can be used at this location.
Due to the urban nature of this location I would not recommend the use of video.
