From Coleshill (Just off the M6) take the B4117 passing through Gilson (or alternatively take the the B4117 from further up the A446) both routes will lead you directly to Water Orton. Head through the busy village centre, and you will see the station to your right.
You can park in the car park which is next to the station. If it is full, you can park in one of the side roads to the north of the station, but do make sure that driveways are not blocked.
There are plenty of buses operating in the area, and many can be observed stopping near the station frequently. These are mainly operated by West Midlands Travel.
There is a sandwich shop (Closes at 16:00) and a very nice fish and chip shop in the village. There is a public loo next to the station carpark which you have to pay 10p to use.
The line runs East to West. The best location is at the far end of the platform. If you wish to photograph east-bound trains, a 200mm lens is recommended if you want to exclude the 'closed-off' section of the platform from your shots.
