Road directions
From the M1, junction 15A:
Follow the signs to Rothersthorpe. Pass through the village, and you will shortly come to the new over bridge which crosses the railway line. Once this has been crossed, you will see a small section of road to the right by the old level crossing. You will be able to park here.
Parking
You can safely park by the old level crossing itself.
Amenities
There are no amenities at the location, although there is a nice shop in Bugbrooke high street where refreshments can be purchased. The Bakers Arms offers a quiet drink, while the Five Bells opposite the church sells good pub-grub.

Photographic notes
Since the erection of Palisade fencing, shots are no longer obtainable from the crossing itself, although a side on shot can be obtained by poking your camera lens through the gap. A shot of southbound trains can be taken from the over bridge itself - (see figure 2)
If you walk down Banbury lane a little further, a good 'panoramic' shot (figure 1) can be obtained from the roadside, opposite the farm entrance.
The line at this location runs almost East to West, so can be advantageous in sunny conditions when other stretches of this line can prove more difficult.
