Road directions
Weedon village is on the A45/A5 cross road. To get to the location, (assuming you are at the crossroad) you need to head towards Towcester/Milton Keynes on the A5. As you go up the hill, you will notice 'Clarke Bros' garage on your left. Opposite this is a right hand turn. Take this turning, and park on the hard standing which is almost immediately on the left. To get to the location, follow the track which is clearly visible from here. You will notice that the track also leads to the sewerage works. Keep following the track, and you will soon see the canal bridge. Cross the bridge, and follow the public footpath. You will eventually find a large gap in the bushes on the left hand side. You will be able to see the shot from here.
Parking
It is best to park as described above. If you have a vehicle which is slightly higher up off the ground, then you can drive a little further, and park by the canal bridge. However, it`s best to play safe and stretch those legs!
Amenities
Nothing at the location, but Weedon village has a few pubs, a Tesco Metro/One-stop store, and also has a sandwich shop. There are also a couple of restaurants at the cross-roads, and there is also a Chinese take-away here.
Accommodation
The two hotels at the cross-roads 'The Globe' and 'The Crossroads' would be a good place to start looking!
The best shot here is of the Northbound trains. Sunny afternoons are best for the ideal shot. Shots can also be taken from the over bridge here, but don`t expect fantastic results. Photos can also be taken from the canal, but the line here is too far away for even reasonable results. Depending on wind direction, location should be quiet enough for people wishing to take video footage. The A5 can sometimes be noisy, but nothing too serious.
