Road directions
The location is just off the A5 between Nuneaton and Tamworth, and is close to Junction 10 of the M42. From there, take the A5 towards Nuneaton. You will soon come to the village of Dordon. At the first roundabout you come to, take a left into Long Street, and then take the first right immediately after the church on your right-hand side. Continue on this road, which transforms from Church Road into Dunns Lane. When you reach the junction, take a left, and park up! You will then need to cross the field to the footbridge.
Parking
There is room to park a couple of cars by some gates on the left hand side of the road. Please be careful as not to obstruct the gates If you have to park elsewhere, it is advised that you get off the road as much as possible, as wide farm machinery use the narrow lanes frequently.... You have been warned!
You can also continue past this point, and take a right down Sandy Way Lane. At the end of this road, you are literally crossing the railway, and you would need to turn right. Be very careful, as this is a very dangerous junction as you can`t see far in either direction...... There is a public footpath on the right hand side that cuts through the field, but park as much off the road as you can.
Amenities
There is nothing in the immediate vicinity, but there are numerous pubs, 'truck' stops and cafe`s up and down the length of the A5, and you would not have to drive far to find something!
Light is generally good from Lunchtime onwards, initially favoring southbound workings, and later northbound trains as the evening arrives.... Unless, of course, it`s cloudy! Shots can be had from the base of the footbridge, although as can be seen in the pictures, not all of them are favorable! The best shots at this location are obtainable if you walk a few yards down the edge of the fields.
