Road directions
From Coventry, head out on the A46. This will lead you straight to Kenilworth. Turn right at the large roundabout that takes you into the town. There is a small 'one-way' system ahead which forces you to bear left, then to the right. Look for a 'JET' petrol station. Keep bearing right until you have passed this petrol station, then take a left turn into Birches Lane. Almost immediately, turn left into Farmer Ward Road. The path to the footbridge is between the last house on the left (Wasn`t that a horror film?) and a series of industrial premises. (This will be just after the turn to Lime Grove on the opposite side)
Parking
Park in the road. The road here is wide, so you needn`t worry too much about passing cars.
Amenities
There are a few local shops scattered around the area, but there are cafe`s and other amenities in the main town centre
Accommodation
There are plenty of hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in the area, which attracts lots of tourists who come here to see the old castle.
The line runs North-South at this location. Southbound shots are only really obtainable from the east side of the bridge, so on a sunny day, good shots can only be had until late morning. Northbound shots are best later in the evening, or on duller days. There is also a footbridge further south, but this has been replaced by a new 'fully-covered' style one, which makes any attempt at photography 100% impossible.
