Road directions
From the A46 (Warwick Bypass) take the A4177 towards Solihull. After passing a new housing development on the right you start to gently climb uphill. Look out for an entrance, on the left, to a British Waterways compound that has a public car park. Enter this and park the car here. A public footpath leads across the field to a footbridge over the railway line, this footbridge is also on Trainspots as Hatton. After crossing the railway line, turn right and walk along the edge of the field alongside the line. Although not marked as a footpath, this is a nature trail for the nearby Hatton Country World. After crossing the style walk uphill slightly, turn around to look back and there is the shot.
Parking
There are parking facilities in the British Waterways car park.
The car park is pay and display and costs £1. The car park closes at 17:30 in winter and 21:00 in Summer, from 21st March 2007.
Public transport
Hatton Station is approximately a 15-20 minute walk along the canal from the locations and is well served by trains from Marylebone, Birmingham and Stratford upon Avon.
Amenities
As well as the nearby pub, for food and drink at the top of the hill. There is a little cafe on the canal a short, uphill!, walk from the car-park. It is open weekdays and weekends and do good cooked breakfasts, lunches etc - you can sit outside and keep an eye on what is passing along Hatton bank too. There are toilets there.

Photographic notes
Ideal location for video as very little noise. Both northbound and southbound shots are available, however, the northbound shot is the shot of choice. Southbound shots possible till around lunchtime. Northbound shots are possible from about 13:00 GMT, 14:00 BST through till early evening when the sun will have gone over. Whilst steps are by no means essential, you may find they give you some extra height.
