For the north side:
Come off of the main A46 near Leek Wootton and take the B4115 turn at the roundabout. After about a quarter of a mile there is a gated entrance to your right, the third right turn, on the brow of a hill.
Park here (without blocking the gateway) and walk across the fields to the viaduct. You can also walk under the line to access the North East side.

For the south side:
Come off the A46 and head along the B4115. When you go under the railway line turn right towards Hill Wootton. Follow this road through the village and at the T-junction turn right. When you get to the roundabout take the third exit towards 'Old Milverton'. Just before the 'Old Milverton' village signs there is a field entrance on the right. Park here, but do not block, the entrance. From here you can walk down the side of the field to the grass lands and walk under the viaduct if required. This is the better location for side on shots of the viaduct.

Both walks involve crossing farm land, so treat the land with respect and, if it has been raining, wear suitable foot ware.

Stagecoach service 16 operates hourly between Coventry, Kenilworth, Warwick, Leamington Spa and Stratford upon Avon and stops in Leek Wootton village.
Walk south out of the village towards the A46. Go under the road and the you should be able to see the viaduct across the fields.

There are none at the location. But Warwick and Royal Leamington Spa have a very wide range of shops.

Still Photography Notes:
There are angles on most sides of the viaduct. Most are looking down the gently sloping sides of the Avon river valley or you can head down to the river and go for side on shots.
There is a kink in the river which allows the photographer to shoot trains on the viaduct across the water. On a still day the train will be reflected in the water. The wall on the top of the viaduct has been replaced by railings on the west side, thus making the wheels of trains visible. Trains can be photographed in either direction as you stand pretty much side on to the viaduct. There are some electric wires, on the east side, which can get in your shot, but the use of a small telephoto lens will get rid of these. In addition to the side on shot of the train crossing the water, it is possible to go further up the field and tighter in to the viaduct in order to photograph northbound trains crossing the viaduct with the whole train in the shot.

Pan shots of trains crossing the entire viaduct are possible here. The location is well away from any roads, so road noise is not a problem.
