There are a number of side roads in which you can park a car.
There is a bus which passes right over this bridge - there is a stop approximately 50 yards to the West, outside the Railway Inn pub.
Trent Barton service 'Rainbow 5' serves the location, from Loughborough to Nottingham - catch it from either Long Eaton station or Loughborough town centre.
At the time of writing, an all day ticket valid on all Trent Barton services after 9am is £4.20, although single/return tickets may be cheaper.
The location is also about 1 1/2 miles walk from East Midlands Parkway. Come out of the station on the main road and cross the A453 and follow 'Kegworth Road' south until the T junciton with 'Station Road' where you turn left and follow this road to the location.
There is a pub right next to the bridge - the Station Hotel. Apart from this, the nearest shops are in either Kegworth village centre, which has a Co-op etc, or Sutton Bonington.
There is only really a shot here for southbound (Up) trains - there is no pavement on the other side of the road, and in any case the sun precludes shooting Northbound trains for much of the day.
The line runs roughly North-South. Facing North, the lines are: (Left to right) DF-UF-DS-US
Light is best from mid morning until mid to late afternoon. It is worth standing in the middle of the bridge, in between the Fast and Slow lines - this gives you enough warning to get into position when anything comes - you can see around 2 miles so plenty of time to move if necessary depending where the sun happens to be.
Although the road could not be considered busy, road noise may be a problem for video. Also, aircraft pass within a few hundred yards to the South heading to East Midlands Airport.
