Road directions
From the railway station turn left along Carrington Street. At the junction, bear right down Water Street West (A6008) and then onto Queens Drive (A453). Castle Bridge Road is then on the right at a T junction controlled by traffic lights.
From the A52, at Wilford Take the A543 eastwards and after about 1 1/2 miles the road bears right, Castle Bridge Road is on the left after the traffic lights.
Parking
There is no safe parking available at the location, but there are plenty of patrolled pay and display car parks near by. The nearest is a NCP facility adjacent to the station.
Public transport
Several bus services pass near the location down Queens Drive (A453) mainly to or from Broadmarsh Bus Station.
Amenities
There are no toilets or shops at the location but such facilities are available within a short walk.
Accommodation
There are many bed and breakfasts and hotels in Nottingham city centre to suit every budget.
Photographic notes
The line runs roughly in and East to West direction, and so bear this in mind regarding the sun. Good views can be obtained in both directions, with Nottingham station (looking East) and Mansfield Junction (looking West) both visible. The bridge parapet is a little high and so a step ladder may prove useful.
