Road directions
From the A1, A57 roundabout: Follow The A614 until you see signs for the A6097, Then follow the A6097 to Lowdham. Then join the A612 Following signs for Nottingham. A New Loop Road has been put in and I have yet to go and see which way round you need to go. So basically follow the A612 round following signs for Nottingham. On Your Left, you should pass a Texaco Oil Yard with 2 big oil cylinders. Then Turn Left onto Private Road No 1. Follow this to the end then turn left again. Follow this down and the crossing is on the left hand side, a gravel lay-by has been resurfaced to allow cars to park.
From The M1, Junction 25:
Turn off at Junction 25 and follow signs for Grantham until you reach the A60, Then turn Left and follow this road to Nottingham Cricket Club. Turn Right down Ashling Court, which then leads onto Meadow Road, then get onto the A612. Follow until reaching Private Road No1. and turn right onto here, then left and follow the No 2 down until you reach the gravel lay-by on the left.
Parking
The gravel lay-by can cater for up to 3 Cars.
Public transport
From Nottingham Victoria there is a NCT Bus route Link 2 to Victoria Retail Park. Ask the driver for Private Road Number 1 and then follow the road directions from there. Bus Fare is £2.70 return, just ask for a City Rider which is valid for the return and on Any NCT/Net Tram within the city area for that day.
Amenities
On the other side of the crossing, follow the pathway round until you get to a road, turn right, then left, and in front of you..there is a Morrisons, including a cafe, toilets etc
Photographic notes
The light is good towards Nottingham in the morning, and towards Grantham in the afternoon, however, towards Grantham in the evening the sun is on the 'Wrong side' as the shot is tight towards Grantham There are normally a few cars up and down the adjacent road and noise from the A612. Other then that videographers should be fine.
