Coming north on the main A65 at the main Settle roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the B6480 and take the next right, which is a public road up to the railway bridge. Please do not drive past the railway bridge as this is a private road.
There is plenty of parking on the grass verge up to the bridge.
There is a train roughly every 2 hours in each direction to Leeds and Carlisle. From the station it would be a good twenty minute walk. There is a bus service provided by Pennine between Skipton and Settle which passes along the road at least hourly.
There are no amenities at the location but Settle boasts a number of shops and pubs. There is also a cafe on Settle station.
There are both north and southbound shots available for most of the day. The northbound shots are quite tree lined, so you will have to pick your spot to get the sun on the train. The southbound shot is more open.
