New Mobile Site
We have just launched a new mobile version of this site - m.trainspots. This page will use your smart device's GPS to loctate you and guide you to locations that are close to your present location.
Location notes
Effingham Junction is on the inner suburban line form London Waterloo to Guildford. The line branches off here to Epsom and Leatherhead.
Railway type and traffic
A vast amount of SWT 455 emus as well as 444s and the occasional 450. In peak times Southern provide a class 319 service to Victoria and 1 to London Bridge.
There is very little regular freight Traffic.
Environment
The station is approximately 1 and a half miles outsie of Effingham and leaving the station on your right is Effingham Common.
Road directions
The station car park is on the left if coming from Effingham Village or Horley.

There are station car parks but they are fairly expensive.

Effingham Junction is a 20 minute journey from Guildford or an hours journey from Waterloo.

Photographic notes
There is a footbridge but you can only take pictures of trains coming up form Guildford as there is a bridge directly behind the footbridge. The best pictures are probably taken from the ends of the platforms.
Effingham is a very quiet station with few people about in off peak times.
