Road directions
From the Warwick bypass (A46) take the A4177 towards Solihull. Keep on this road until you can take the B4439 to Shrewley. You should notice a left hand turning for Hatton Country world. However, for this location, you need the next left at which you should notice a sign for the train station. This is a narrow road with a couple of sharp bends. As you arrive, the station will be on your left, and the location is the bridge directly ahead.
Parking
Do not park on the grass verge just beyond the bridge, this is a very narrow lane on a bend and you will cause an obstruction if your car is on the verge - you will be not be popular with van and lorry drivers, of which there are many.
If the free station car park is full there are several cul-de-sac housing developments within a few seconds walk where you can safely park without causing other motorists danger.
Amenities
Nearby Shrewley has a shop, post office and the Durham Ox pub. There are also toilets and cafes etc at the nearby Hatton Country world.

Photographic notes
The location is best for southbound workings during the morning up until early afternoon. A particularly useful location during winter months when the shadows are long, as this is one of the very few spots in the area where shadows are not too much of a menace. The photos here illustrate this, and were taken during January and February. It is also possible to shoot to the east overlooking the station, but if you want to photograph northbound workings, I personally look elsewhere!
The constant noise from the M40 does not make this location ideal for video.
Please also note that the area has recently (Feb 2008) had new signals and equipment boxes installed, and some evidence of this can be seen in these photos.
