From the A46 (Warwick Bypass) take the A4177 towards Solihull. After passing a new housing development on the right you start to gently climb uphill. After passing the pub on the left there is a left hand turning, take this and then your first left (signposted Hatton Country World). This lane will take you across a narrow canal bridge and then onto the railway bridge.
Park the car at either end of the bridge on the verge.
Hatton station is approximately a 5-20 minute walk along the canal from the locations and is well served by trains from Marylebone, Birmingham and Stratford upon Avon.
There is a pub nearby at the top of the hill, otherwise none.
Both northbound and southbound shots are available at various times of the day, however, the northbound late afternoon/evening shot is the shot of choice. Shadows from the bridge and bushes on the embankment do creep across the line, and by about 20:00 on a summers evening the location is pretty much finished. The location is not much use in Winter as the sun will not get far enough round.
