Road directions
From the M27, Junction 3:
Head on to the M271 towards Romsey (A3057). Turn left at the first roundabout you come to for Coldharbour, and for Lee Drive continue on to the A3057 and turn left at the first turning.
Parking
There is space at both bridges for a handful of cars, but if something special is due along it may become a bit tricky.
Public transport
The locations are a fair walk from both Romsey and Redbridge stations, to my knowledge there is no local bus service.
Amenities
Very few, there is a Tesco Metro in Redbridge along with several fast food chains, as well as various supermarkets in Romsey.
Accommodation
There will be hotels and B&Bs in Romsey.
Railway Gen Group
Wessex Rail Gen [WRGen]
Photographic notes
The line is directly north/south at both locations, so the best shots are southbound throughout the day. There are a variety of angles available but most of them are tight-ish.
The location will be fine for video apart from slight background noise from M27 and probably the wind!
