From the M27, Junction 3:
Head south along the M271 following the signs for Southampton docks. At the first junction come off and take the third exit, then at the next roundabout take the first exit onto Test Lane. Test Lane will take you to Redbridge station. After parking walk to Redbridge Station and follow the public transport directions.

You will need to leave your car in one of the residential streets and walk down to the station. There are about 3 spaces for cars at Redbridge station, but these are for 'rail customers only'

From Redbridge Station walk up to the footbridge and go down on the opposite side to the station buildings. Follow this path round into the park and the location is in front of you.

Nothing in the immediate area. There is a large Asda on Maynard Road which is ab out 10 minutes walk back in the direction of Totton station, over the estuary.

Wessex Rail Gen [WRGen]

The line curves round from Totton and would suit either telephoto for the further bridges or standard lenes for the closer bridge. The lighting would suit the 9am to lunchtime window for sun.
The noise of the by pass should not be too intrusive for video recordings.
