Road directions
From the M1, Junction 5:
Take the exit onto the A41 south towards C.London/Harrow/Watford and continue for about 3 miles.
Go through 1 roundabout
At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the A411 towards Barnet and Elstree. After another mile you will approach some traffic lights where you need to turn left, in the direction of Radlett, for about half a mile until you see the signs for Borehamwood and the station where you need to follow them by turning right. Continue along this road, crossing the railway and after this at the roundabout turn left up Theobald Street. Red Road is a small left turn about quarter of a mile up the road just after a bus stop.
Follow Red Road round and the foot bridge is signed by a footpath sign and you will see the gated entrance to the footpath on the left.
Parking
You can park for up in Red Road, except between 1400 and 1500 when it is for resident permit holders only.
Public transport
From Elstree and Borehamwood Station, Turn left onto Station Road. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Theobald Street. Walk past one roundabout and then turn left onto Red Road. This is a 10-20 min walk.
Amenities
Borehamwood High Street, close to the station has plenty of shops.
Accommodation
St Albans is nearby with a range of Hotels, there are also some places to stay on the M1 'London Gateway' services between Junction 3 and 4.

Photographic notes
The bridge is not very high and excellent views can be had of trains coming from the south. To the north there is a right hand bend.
Naturally if shooting from above you will be looking through the OLE.
