Road directions
From the Ipswich Park and Ride at Martlesham:
Take the A1214 signed towards Ipswich and Kesgrave. When you reach the sign for Kesgrave village take the right turn, signed towards Bealings, and follow this road to the next crossroads where you will reach a stop sign. Turn left, again towards Ipswich, and follow this road for about a mile until you reach a house at a staggered cross roads where you will need to turn right. Following this road for about half a mile will bring you to the location.
Parking
The safest parking is at bottom of hill leading to bridge, but for a short stop, the road is wide enough at the bridge. Be aware of large agricultural vehicles using the road.
Public transport
Very occasional buses serve Playford.
Amenities
There are no shops or pubs in Playford. The nearest would be in Kesgrave, which is about 2 miles to south.

Photographic notes
Gradient against westbound trains. Reverse curves to east of bridge, straight track to west. Better for westbound trains but possible for eastbound, too.
