The station is well signposted from the A52.
The station has an expensive carpark which is patrolled and covered with CCTV.
Central Trains, Virgin Cross Country and MML all operate services to the station.
The station has a WH Smith on the concourse, and a cafe bar on the concourse and one on the platform.
The station is fine for anyone who wants to view what is passing or terminating, you will need to go over to Platform 6 to see Fragonset locos stabled and also HSTs going into Etches Park. Also on this side is the station avoiding line some, but not all, of the freight uses this. No services pass thought the station at any great speed.
