Follow the A14 into Felixstowe. At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit (Straight across) and continue along this road. When you cross the railway at the level crossing the station is on your left.
There are numerous pay and display car parks and road side parking spots.
The walk from Felixstowe Town station to the location is around 1 1/2 miles.
First,
service 77, calls at Talcon Road which is about a minutes walk from the location.
There are plenty of fish and chip shops on the sea front and a McDonalds drive through is located off the first roundabout into Felixstowe. There is also a small local store at the sea front end of station road.
Trains pass through the station in both directions hauling frieghtliners to and from the docks. They can also sit in the Creek Sidings just south of the station for a long time.
The station has been disused now for many years and as a result the ipswich platform end is quite overgrown with weeds, there are currently (Oct 2015) some portacabins in the station area which may indicate redevelopment, but the 'car park' remains closed off. These portacabins would be visible in Fig1.
The tracks run north to south and so early in the morning the trains pass through the shadow of the station.
The crossing is well lit so trains can be viewed at all hours.
