From A14 head out of Felixstowe. About 1/4 of a mile after the roundabout turn left (signposted Trimley) into Thurmans Lane. At the end of Trumans Lane turn left along High Road and the third right is Station Road. The station car park is on the left before the level crossing.
Turn left up the high street and there is a local co-op type store on the high street about 10 minutes walk away. Turn right ans there is a Fish and Chip shop (Gullivers) about 3 minutes away.
The station is double tracked but the line singles at the Ipswich end of the station. The foot over bridge provides good views of the line. With about a miles worth of straight to the west. To the east the lines split. One branch heading to the Station and the docks via the beach (left) and to the north docks to the right. Some excellent views are afforded of trains departing directly from the North dock as they have to climb a long curved grade all the way to the station.
