A new mobile site has been ceated. Whilst this page will remain you may find
Trainspots mobile better suited to a smart phone.
Car parks are available in several locations.
Trains run frequently from Guildford and Redhill.
There is a lovely pub on the north side of the Station - best way is to follow the exit from the station.
West of Shalford station (over the road the trains pass under) there is a field with a road that leads towards some accommodation and another bridge across the railway (bridge can be seen from main road bridge for identification).
From the bridge, you can look west around the curve and towards the junction (great for photographs) or east towards the station (OKish for photographs). The best position for photographing is over a small wire fence which is on the left of the bridge as you face West. The area has wonderful scenery and background. Very dark at night but plenty of sunlight during the day. The best time to take photographs in morning and early evening. Mid-dayish is OK but the sun is directly above and avoid late afternoons/evenings if possible as it will be if front of you.
As of January 2013 there are a couple of small bushes that, during the summer mightencroach on shots.
