Road directions
From Northampton, head out on the A428 towards Coventry. After a few miles, you will pass through Harlestone. Note the pub on the right, The Fox and Hounds, and perhaps more importantly, the speed camera on the left!
After this village, you will pass the Althorp estate with it`s tall stone walling on your left. As the road descends, you will notice the railway crossing the road. You need to take the left hand turn just before this. This narrow road takes you into the village of Great Brington itself. As you get to the village, you will come to a junction, as soon as you pass the gates for the gated road. Turn right, and follow the road downhill. You need to take the first turning on the left. Do not be fooled, as the road turning looks like a private drive. You may notice a sign for a Cattery and Dog kennels. Take this turning, and follow the lane until you come to the railway bridge.
Parking
The bridge is long and wide, and at least a dozen cars can be parked on the grass verges of the bridge.
Public transport
Not very well served here. There is a bus (G1) from Northampton once on a Wednesday, and a Saturday only.
Amenities
No amenities here, although if you travelled further along this road, you would come to Long Buckby and many shops can be found there. The previously mentioned The Fox and Hounds in Harlestone is a pub which I can highly recommended for a good meal.

Photographic notes
Shots can be taken from both sides of the bridge. Shots are best from the Southern end of the bridge, especially when the sun is out from Lunchtime onwards.
Shots can also be taken from the bridge on the road to East Haddon, but catenary masts are more obtrusive here. To get to this bridge, instead of taking the left turn past the cattery, simply continue to the next bridge. You can park on both sides of this bridge.
