From Northampton, head out on the A428 towards Coventry. After a few miles, you will pass through Harlestone. Note the pub on the right, The Fox and Hounds, and perhaps more importantly, the speed camera on the left!
As you leave Harlestone, and the road begins to climb, look out for a right hand turning signposted 'The Bramptons'. Take this turn, and follow the road until it kinks to the right. You will see room to park 2-3 cars on the left. If you cross the railway, then you have gone too far!
You will be looking for an area to park 2-3 cars.
There are actually two places on the short stretch of road which could cause possible confusion. Parking is 'literally' off the road as it kinks to the right, and the railway will be seen from this point.
The Dusty Fox in Harlestone provided good food and drink. However the pub has been renamed 'The Fox and Hounds' and refurbished, so the quality is, as yet, unknown.
Shots can be taken in both directions.
'Closer-up' shots can also be taken from the line side fence.
