Road directions
From the M25, Junction 21a:
Head north up the A405 and at the first roundabout take the first exit along the B4630. There is a petrol station here, the road is to it's left. Follow this road straight along and into St Albans. Just after the first roundabout you will come to you will see the station on the left. As you pass you will see a junction in the road for you to make the u turn to the station car park.
Parking
The car park is next to the platform, there is not even a kerb!
Public transport
You could get the train from Watford Junction.
You can also get the train to St Albans City and walk the mile or so, just follow the signs to the Abbey.
Amenities
There is nothing at the station save for a bus stop shelter.
Just around the corner is a business park with a McDonnalds.
Accommodation
As a tourist centre there will be plenty of places to stay in St Albans.
Photographic notes
The station is fairly uninspiring, the line approaching the station is fairly 'wiggly' and would make for an interesting video.
Given the direction of the line anything approaching the station will be very backlit up until around 11:00.
