Road directions
This is a short walk from the station itself, so it may be easier to head to the station itself. The footbridge is also accessible from Hurst road, which is just north of the station off of the B274, and also Birdhurst Avenue and South Park Hill road (B243) on the other side of the line. If driving from East Croydon station, follow George St in a westerly direction, turning left onto the A212. This road then bears left (Coombe Road) You can then follow this road, taking either the first right (birdhurst avenue) or the second right (south Park Hill) after crossing the railway.
Or: When heading south on the A212, instead of bearing left into Coombe road, go straight across into St.Peters Road (B274) and the fifth turning on the left is Hurst Road.
Parking
Parking is difficult in the area, as most roads are double yellow these days. Probably best to get the train in.
There are a limited number of short stay places in Hurst road, next to the PDSA hospital, although one particular resident can get funny about this, even though it is anyones right to park in these spaces. The parking prices are as follows (Dec 2007), up to a maximum of 4 hours: 15min - 50p 30 min - £1 1hr - £1.20 1hr 30 - £1.50 2hrs - £2
Public transport
The area is well served by many, many local buses.
Shots can be had to the south which will include the station, but the best shots here are looking north, and can be had from both sides of the bridge to suit the light.
