From Canterbury, Ramsgate is straight up the A28. As you approach Margate, and cross over the railway, you need to take the 2nd right into Hartsdown Road.

You cant park on the roadbridge itself - It is double yellow lined!
However, you may be able to find a place in a nearby street. If not, there are plenty of pay and display car-parks in Margate, or there is the old multi-story car-park next to what is left of Dreamland. Perhaps best not to park too close to Dreamland though, as numerous 'suspicious' fires are frequent here..........

There is a post office/store on the corner along Canterbury Road. Plenty of other shops within a short walking distance. 'Peters Fish Factory' along the Parade is highly recommended.

There are plenty of places to stay in Margate. You will see B&Bs and hotels with vacancies wherever you look!

While photography is difficult here, it at least offers something quite different, and photographers may wish to include the signal box in their shot, which is easily done here. The main obstacle is the long shadows which can affect this spot badly.
